Go on tell me, did you put your Christmas decorations up before or after Halloween? My fall wreath came down 10/31 and went up 11/1 - I'm just a sucker for Christmas and everything it brings with it. The joy, the laughter, the gifts, the gatherings, the eggnog, and EVEN the snow! This time of year is very special to me because it was my mothers' favorite time of year - especially Thanksgiving. By this time she had already completed most of her Thanksgiving dinner shopping and may have started prepping some things. So, I guess this is my way of keeping her traditions going and a piece of her with me. One thing she didn't do however was, decorate anything outside of the tree as I've taken interest in. I know deep down she wanted to but didn't have the time nor the patience to do it. Last year before conceiving Noah, I'd planned what I wanted our Christmas colors to be - rose gold/gold, ivory, and burlap. I'd had bulbs from my mothers' collection, I'd gone out and purchased more during the after Christmas sales - I was ready! But as the time drew closer and I grew wider with a baby that felt like a 10lb turkey before I knew it, it was December and I had nothing up. At that point, I didn't want to put up our Christmas tree but I didn't want to deprive Jacob of his 2nd Christmas. So, we went out a purchased a 4.5ft pre-lit tree - it was the most I could do being 7.5-8mos pregnant. BUT this year 2020 - with all the chaos! I. WILL. PUT. UP. MY. TREE. - and then some. Thus far,
Here's a peek at the wreath that went up 11/1, the stocking I ordered via Amazon, and the ornaments I'm making for the boys' tree. I hope you find your sweetkisses this season Stay sweet -K
